Wouldn't it be nice to set up a system where you can administer assessments much more effectively than you do now? How about if you could do it all from your iOS device?  Welcome to ZipGrade, a free grading application that is going to change the way that formative and summative assessments are graded in the educational world. With this app, teachers are able to do a number of things, including:

  • Create answer keys
  • Edit answer keys
  • Scan papers in a flash! Simply hold your iOS device over the form
  • Review the papers that have been scanned
  • Analyze the information that has been scanned
  • Scan up to 20 pages per minute. In a class of 40 students, it would take a total of 2 minutes to receive results!

From the website, you can print out free versions of the answer sheets that are used for grading.  Students can include the results in their interactive student notebooks or files for future reference and review.

While there is a small fee for usage past 100 scans, the results are certainly worth it in time saved.  Your students will be asking to scan their results rather than fearing the unknown.  Some applications include:
