The Weather Channel+
This is a video tutorial on how to incorporate the Weather Channel+ application from the iPad into a math classroom. This is best used when teaching mean, median, and mode of a data set. Having the weather as a basis for a lesson plan is almost a sure way of getting students engaged in the content. Having the students use the Weather Channel+ app for the iPad is a way to take the lesson to the next level. Using the app, students find the extended forecast for a city of their choice. Lower students can find the difference between the high and low temperatures. There are so many more things that can be done with the Weather Channel+, so try it out and see what works for you. Enjoy!
