App of the Week for September 17th: TeacherKit
Price: FREE
With all of the great things that the iPad can do, teachers need a way to keep all of their data in tact and have a progress-monitoring tool for the classes that they teach. TeacherKit is a great app that has many features that will make any tech-savvy teacher head to the app store in a hurry.
Features of TeacherKit:
As a middle school teacher, I use this app to record any behavior plans, input 504 and IEP information, keep all contact information for each student and his/her parent(s), and create quick and easy seating charts.
Another great benefit of this app is the email feature. For the 21st century teacher, email is an essential piece to keep the parents informed. Whether it is a quick reminder about an upcoming project or a plan of the homework assignments for the week, TeacherKit allows me to keep in touch with parents within the app itself. During a conversation with the parents, I can also document our key points or bring up past behavior problems by simply opening up the student information card.
