There's an APP for that!
Khan Academy has an interactive website with lessons in mathematics, science, language arts and social science.  What's so great about it?  Video lessons. Start your flipped classroom with ready made videos.



Features of Khan Academy:
It's FREE
  • Students can view and rewind lessons.
  • The video lessons are already complete
  • Teachers can get ideas on how to instruct a lesson
  • Start you flipped classroom and get ideas on making videos for yourself
  • Videos are categorized with how to explanations
  • Keep attendance records, including tardies
  • Have a class set of iPads?  Students can watch the videos with headsets while you work in small groups or one-on-one with your student(s) 
  • You can access this site as an APP or at www.khanacademy.org
  • Have a guest teacher for the day - show a short lesson from Khan Academy to give the substitute help teaching the lesson.  
  • You may also use the lessons to front-load and focus on common core writing and reading strategies in the classroom
This app seems geared toward middle and high school education.  Don't fret!  Elementary is on its way!  

Preparing your students for the CAHSEE, CST and SAT are as simple!  The website has the videos online!
