How to select a student or group to use the iPad

• Randomly select the student or group that will be using the iPad for the lesson by drawing a name from popsicle sticks, out of a hat, or having it be a motivating factor for the first students or group done with an assignment
• Assign the iPad to a student who needs assistance or intervention with a lesson
• Provide the iPad as a motivational tool for students to use when they finish early 
• Provide the iPad as a way for students to check their solutions or extend their understanding

How to teach the handling and care for the iPad

• Explicitly review proper care for the iPad
• Have students or groups keep the iPad on the desk at all times
• The instructor hands off the iPad to the student or group.  When finished, the instructor picks up the iPad from the student or group
